August Stamp

I got this done in just the nick of time to be ready for my August Bullet Journal page, which I still have to do.
As a birthday treat I may take some time and carve another stamp.

A Few Little Journals

I sent one group of these off to my nieces and I am giving the others to my arty friends. They were so much fun to make! I hope they like filling them.

More Pocket Journals

It is nice to work on a small space, but I hate not having all my supplies available. Still, it is a good challenge!
I didn't like this page as it was, so I took a cue from Julie Fei Fan Balzer
That link isn't quite right, but somewhere on her blog is a post about cutting into your art journal to make a lacy page.
I think I need to cut a little more, but I don't have an exacto knife upstairs.

Day 6-9

It was a lot of fun to play and put paint on these pages. Some I like and some I don't, but it is the showing up that is important.

I did some stenciling on the back of some scrapbook paper so I can make some journals for my nieces.

Days 3-5

I knew it would be hard to post every day, so I a just doing it in a group. I love this challenge as the pages are small and it is fun to see what I can do with limited supplies.

I used a new stencil from Stencil Girls for this page using the prompt-Curves.
I thought the first image was done, but looked again and felt it needed some words. Prompt-Geometric.
Today the prompt is Ruled. I used a few stencils and then found this verse:
Join the fun at Rae Missigman . The class was great fun and her blog is excellent.

Day 2 Art Marks

I thought my page was done at this point:
But I felt it needed some words so I added this verse from my daily Bible reading:

Art Marks 30 Day Challenge

Well, I am joining Rae with her 30 day challenge. But first, here are some in-process photos of my pocket journal:
First my fabric pages that are done with the original fabric :
 Inside of my pocket journal:
I bent my needle making the book.
The book still needs a closure and some fixing of the inside pages:
This the start of my first page:
And here are my marks on that page:
I did not use any paint, just my Moonlight Sakura pens.

Pocket Journal Prep

I decided to sign up for an on line class through Art to the 5th  .I am currently working on
Rae Missigman's journal. I need to get it done so I can start the 30 day mark making challenge that starts tomorrow!
Here is where I am currently:
All I have done is painted some canvas fabric I have white with gesso and cheap craft paint. I now need to add color and put the book together.
I have watched the videos and putting the book together is simpler than Julie Balzer's method in Junk Journals, but this book is small-only 5" tall and 3" wide.  Hopefully I will have this done and can join the fun tomorrow!

I Need to Play

The urge to get into my art journal is becoming overwhelming. But I had foot surgery and cannot manage playing in my art room as it is downstairs and has no chair. But maybe I can sweet talk my dd into pulling some stuff up for me. Not today as she has to work. Tomorrow?
Anyway, I have been coloring postcards. Not my favorite thing to do, but it makes me calmer.
