Art Marks 30 Day Challenge

Well, I am joining Rae with her 30 day challenge. But first, here are some in-process photos of my pocket journal:

Pocket Journal Prep

I decided to sign up for an on line class through Art to the 5th  .I am currently working on
Rae Missigman's journal. I need to get it done so I can start the 30 day mark making challenge that starts tomorrow!
Here is where I am currently:

All I have done is painted some canvas fabric I have white with gesso and cheap craft paint. I now need to add color and put the book together.
I have watched the videos and putting the book together is simpler than Julie Balzer's method in Junk Journals, but this book is small-only 5" tall and 3" wide.  Hopefully I will have this done and can join the fun tomorrow!

I Need to Play

The urge to get into my art journal is becoming overwhelming. But I had foot surgery and cannot manage playing in my art room as it is downstairs and has no chair. But maybe I can sweet talk my dd into pulling some stuff up for me. Not today as she has to work. Tomorrow?
Anyway, I have been coloring postcards. Not my favorite thing to do, but it makes me calmer.

Never Finished the Challenge

I really don't feel too bad that I did not finish the A to Z challenge. I did on my other blog, but I did not have the energy to on this one. Maybe I need a new challenge?
I did make some covers for my daily journals. I just use composition books but I like to make them pretty. I found some fabric and stenciled on top of it.

I have a needlepoint piece that I am putting on top of it, but it is a pilot class so no photos!

Which journal would you prefer to open?

N is for Negative Space

I have trouble leaving blank space. But that negative space does add impact.
